Description

Axol Human iPSC-Derived Retinal Pigment Epithelial (RPE) Cells are pigmented, have a polygonal morphology and show apical microvilli and melanin containing melanosomes. They also express key RPE markers such as tyrosinase, PMEL17, RPE65, RLLBP1 and BEST1. Each lot of Human iPSC-Derived RPE Cells are highly validated as they are validated for purity by flow cytometry (PMEL17) and functionality (bioparticle phagocytosis assays). Axol iPSC-Derived RPE Cells provide a relevant reliable model system perfect for research into retinal pigmented epithelium and retina-linked disorders as they are closely related to primary RPE cells.

These cells display low batch to batch variability and are available in large batch sizes making them ideal for toxicology investigations and drug discovery.
