This product is a plate of live human iPSC-derived macrophages in 96-well plate format. Human iPSC-derived monocytes are seeded into 96-well plates at a density of 15,000 cells/well and matured for 5-6 days before delivery. Human iPSC-Derived Macrophages are generated using a fully defined protocol from a factory of human iPSC-derived monocytes. Once the iPSC-derived monocytes are plated and placed into macrophage differentiation medium the monocytes mature into adherent macrophages.  

Axol iPSC-Derived Macrophages have been validated in phagocytosis assays. Both LPS (10 ng/mL) and Cytochalasin D (10 M) have been used to increase and decrease phagocytosis activity respectively. The macrophage-specific calcium-binding protein, IBA1 and cell surface markers CD14, CD11b, CD45, typically expressed by macrophages, have been confirmed in Axol iPSC-Derived Macrophages by flow-cytometry and ICC.
